It’s sunday evening and I’ve spent most of my day at the Santa Monica Beach. It’s always super fun to mess around on the bars and develop new skills  with my american friends. I’ve been working on the Japanese handstand since a while. I often try it against a wall and to find the balance . The Japanese handstand  is actually much harder the regular one and I wasn’t able to hold it until today.

As always, someone brought some parallettes to the beach and I was able to hold the handtand on my first try. Well, I think it’s easier on these parallettes than on the ground. However, I’m proud of myself that I’ve managed to hold it for at least 10 seconds.

It’s being said that I did not press into this position. In other words, I kicked myself up and held it then as long as possible.

I will definitely work on this skill in future. I’m also aiming to press myself up into this situation. It seems almost impossible to me at the moment but I will definitely try it.

Try it your own – it’s not that easy how it looks like.
